Hiking the Lands End Trail in San Francisco
The greater San Francisco Bay Area offers ample hiking options, but there are also great places to hike within city limits. According to some circles, one of the best hiking trails in San Francisco is the Lands End Trail.
Covering 3.4 miles of what AllTrails.com calls the “wildest, rockiest corner of San Francisco,” the Lands End Trail traverses the Sutro Historic District of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. It takes roughly an hour and a half to complete with a moderate to difficult rating.
